The Kishwaukee Valley Art League will host its second annual Affordable Art Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at Hillcrest Covenant Church, 1515 N. First St. in DeKalb.
This show, which was well received last year, offers art league members the opportunity to go through their studios and part with pieces so they can start on new projects. The public can purchase affordable artwork priced from $5 to $95. There will be no admission charge to the public to attend this show.
Art media for sale will include acrylic, oil and watercolor paintings, wood turning and wood burning, photography and scanography, colored pencil and pencil drawing, pastels, gourd art, fabric art and a variety of arts and crafts.
Twenty-one art league members will participate in the show including Steve Aurand, Larry Bond, Rich Born, Pam Bradford, Cliff Cleland, Jim Dester, Marilyn Hrymak, Christine Hoy-Miguel, Jordyn Jackson, Angela Johnson, Jack Kuhn, Cher Ladford, Chris Myroth, Julie Olson, SherryLee Paterson, Susan Pfotenhauer, Alec Rossiter, Cathy Schneider, Tamara Shriver, Barb Taylor and Sarah Tobias.
KVAL’s annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Market will be Saturday, Nov. 16, at the old train station in downtown Sycamore.
KVAL is committed to promoting local artists and dedicated to the development of upcoming artists in the Kishwaukee Valley area. Hy-Vee and Waste Management are patron members of the organization.
