City seeks applications from nonprofits for grant money

DeKALB – Local nonprofit organizations have another chance at getting some grant money from the city.

The city is soliciting applications for the fiscal year 2020 Human Services Funding as they work to approve a FY2020 budget, according to a news release.

Pending budget approval, the grant money to be disbursed totals $150,000 and will be made available to local organizations with a 501(c)(3) status who provide services to the elderly, homeless, those at risk of homelessness, victims of domestic violence, individuals with disabilities, at-risk children and people of low income.

Applications must be completed no later than 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, including any required attachments. Incomplete or late submissions will not be considered, the release said.
